Good News!

General approves possible death penalty in Fort Hood shooting case

(CNN) -- A U.S. Army general Wednesday approved a possible death penalty in the future military trial of Maj. Nidal Hasan, the American Muslim accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009.

Lt. Gen. Donald Campbell, the Fort Hood commander, formally announced that the charges against Hasan will be tried as capital offenses in a general court-martial. His decision means that if a panel of military officers finds Hasan guilty, they can consider the death penalty as a possible sentence.

Please, for the love of all that's good and wholesome, someone please tell me that the Army still executes by firing squad or hanging. Or both - I think there's a bunch of folks who'd like to see Hasan strung up and then shot at repeatedly. In any case, it's good to see that Hasan is going to get what's coming to him...

A line from "Clear and Present Danger" comes to mind, something about "regular or extra crispy"...

That is all.

Win win. If we kill him we get to kill an evil terrorist shithead.

If somehow they flub it and he gets life, well he'll spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair with a non-functioning dick!

Yeah!

Sounds like the major might be switching to a procurement job. First order of business is to acquire 5 rounds of 5.56 ammunition.

So when does Holder step in and try to move the trial to a Civilian Court?

Leave him in his wheelchair and hang him, then use him for target practice with .338 Lapua Mag at 500 yds.

It's lethal injection at Levenworth. Shooting and hanging are still on the books, but are considered "emergency" measures only.

If you really want to discourage his co-religionists in the future, I think he should be executed and then denied a muslim burial.

Better yet, defile the body. It sends a crystal clear message.

I'm usually not this much of an A$$, but I'll make an exception with this scum.

DOJ Holder had better steer clear of this case or people with pitch forks and burning torches will run his sorry A$$ out of Washington.

That would be a win!

Holder is already toast.
When Issa gets done there should be a long line of perp walkers. I would hope Janet, Hillary, some from FBI, DEA, Main Justice, etc.

Sorry, Jay. The military will use the federal lethal injection facilities in Marion, IN.

I'd volunteer for the job administering the lethal injection in a heartbeat.

I would imagine that I have more experience injecting Pentobarbital into veins than most folks. 1cc per 10 lbs of body weight and he would be dead before I finished pushing the plunger on the syringe. 16 years gives you a lot of experience getting the job right.

Of course... Given the high profile nature of the execution, I'll bet no one would blame me if I messed up just a little and he instead died an excrutiating, twitching death.

At least you quoted the book and not that awful travesty of a movie they made.
