Burglar Killed In Home Invasion Struggle
SPENCER, Okla. -- A burglar was killed in a struggle with a homeowner early Friday, police said. The incident happened about 2 a.m. near Northeast 35th Street and Spencer Road.They're not sure if the homeowner had a gun himself or took it off the goblin. If it's the former, good for him. If it's the latter, double good for him. Either the homeowner was prepared for a home invasion, in which case he is to be commended for taking responsibility for his own safety rather than relying on the illusion of safety the state would rather we cling to; or he took on an armed goblin and won.
Police said a man forced himself inside the home before being shot in the chest. He took off running and collapsed in a front yard about a block away.
In either case, he did the right thing.
