Friday Gun Pr0n #230

Today's gun pr0n comes from MBtGE, who I had the distinct pleasure of meeting at last year's Northcoast Bloggershoot (and is currently attending this year's Northcoast, the lucky SOB). I can attest that he has some very nice toys - suppressed Rugers, a tricked out AR, and numerous other fine arms. Today's pic is one of his faves:

There's a Storm comin'!

Beretta Storm CX4 in .40 S&W. Complete with VFG, EOTech, and even a bayonet (in MBtGE's words, "I added the K-Bar mini just for you." It's a great looking rig, and as MBtGE points out, it eats from the same magazines as his Beretta PX4. Having a pistol/rifle combo that uses the same ammo is a good idea; having them share magazines is even better. Personally, I'd rather have the .45 ACP version, but then again, MBtGE is not hampered by restricted magazines...

And, oddly enough, that rifle as configured is 100% MA-legal. Hmmmm...

That is all.

Wonder how well it works on UN Helmets? Guess you'll have to tune in Next Week.

I had one thought when I saw this picture. "Hey! Stop poking me with that. I might get a scratch."

Isn't a bayonet supposed to stick out past the end of the barrel more? Or has my Mosin-Nagant spoiled me?

What's infinitely stupid it the cX4 .45 eat from single-stack Couger mags, not double-stack PX4 mags.

Lame.

Despite the high price tag, I still want one of those. I run a Px4 9mm, so having one of those would just be great. New, though, they run right at the low end AR price range. Maybe I oughta keep an eye to the pawn shops and Gunbroker.

Also, MA legal? That's hilarious. That thing looks waaaaay eeeeviller than my AR.

You can get the .45 Storm to eat the same mags as another Beretta, you have to replace a mag-well insert.

I did it with my Storm in .40, you can make it eat Beretta 96 or PX-4 Storms.
I don't have the Eotech on my Storm, I put a laser where the bayonet is on that one.
The 14 round mags are fantastic.

I've handled these before and have wanted one for a while. But man, 700-800 bucks for one? That's simply too much for a 9mm carbine. Now sub 500, that I'd be tempted by.

I'd pay 7-800 for one much more happily if I could get one in 10mm that took Glock 20 Mags.
