Feel-Good Story of the Day...

Brad_in_MA sends in this heartwarming tale:

Up to 70 Taliban dead as Afghan attack thwarted

Up to 70 Taliban fighters were killed after trying to attack a foreign troop base in eastern Afghanistan, officials said Wednesday.

The attempted assault happened late Tuesday at a combat outpost in Paktika province, close to the border with Pakistan where militants have hideouts. No international troops were killed or injured in the incident.

  • Scores of dead Taliban? Check.

  • No coalition forces killed? Check.

  • Attack thwarted? Check.

Now, if we could just hear that the Prius-driving tree-hugger from yesterday's video choked on her soy-based nut-free tofurky...

That is all.

After ready the story in the dentist office this morning, I'm not as happy as you are. It looks like the Terrorists came from Pakistan with their permission. Don't get me wrong! Dead Jihadis is always a good thing (unless they are Suicide Bombers, of course), but this "Aiding and Abetting" from our "Ally" is getting old.

Given that Pakistan was harboring Osama bin Laden, I think it's pretty damn clear that Pakistan is no ally.

Time to start getting (even more) friendly with India, methinks...

I believe Pakistan is still standing because they're between China and the Middle East's oilfields. The U.S. doesn't want to give Pak a reason to invite China over for tea, because you know they'll never leave.

Pakistan a.k.a. Muslim occupied India.

Can't remember where that's from but things would be much better with The Raj intact with the Northwest Frontier Force keeping the tribes in line.
Butcher and Bolt is as good a policy now as it was under the Queen-Empress.

If you'll excuse me it's time for port, cheese and swearing at Whigs.
