Wild Turkey Killed After Attacking People At Mt. Auburn Cemetery
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – The peaceful beauty of Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge is something to savor, unless, of course, you’re being chased by a wild turkey.Mary Russo of Watertown walks here several times a week. She says she has never been “pecked” by the birds, but she definitely describes them as “aggressive.”
It seems as though folks have been feeding the turkeys that live in the cemetery, not realizing that feeding wildlife is almost always a terrible idea. They get used to humans, they start depending on the food, and when they get hungry, they attack. Sure enough, one of the turkeys attacked one of the cemetery employees, resulting in a trip to the hospital. The turkey was killed - no word on how it tasted with gravy, mind you - and there are honestly people up in arms about this:
“It’s just too bad this had to happen,” he says. “I think there was some bad advice given, maybe, somewhere along the line you know?”
Yes. In Massachusetts, we will side with the human-attacking turkey every single time - at least that explains our representatives, right?
That is all.

In other words, they become just like little welfare recipients.
I frequently kill a (bottle of) wild turkey after visiting grave sites...
Gosh can't believe I am the first to say this. How long until you start the dead gobbler count.
