Rollin' Right Along

CoolChange sends in the latest addition to the count:

Woman shoots, kills intruder - her cousin
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a woman shot and killed a suspected robber in her northwest Houston home overnight who turned out to be her own cousin. It happened around 12:30am in the 5900 block of Reid Street near Fulton.

Police say two women were in the home when their lights went out. According to investigators, two men shut off the electricity as a decoy to get the residents to come outside. When one of the women walked out of the house to figure out what was going on, one of the suspects snuck inside.
The other woman stayed in the house and wound up shooting the intruder, who turned out to be related to her. He was in the process of stealing from his own kin, and apparently didn't know her well enough to know she was armed and willing to use deadly force. While it's certainly traumatic for the woman, again, it is necessary to point out that there's no way she could have known this was a scumbag relative out to steal from her as opposed to someone with more nefarious intent...

Dead Goblin Count: 301

That is all.

Good job on her part. It'll make the funeral, and family reunions, a bit awkward I'd bet...
