Bribin' Is Hard Work...

Stretch sends in this sad tale of poor, overworked Jesse Jackson Jr.

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. on medical leave, exhaustion cited
U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s office says the veteran Democratic congressman has been on medical leave from Congress for the past two weeks and is being treated for exhaustion.

The 17-year Illinois congressman’s office declined to say Monday where he was being treated or when he is expected to return.

Yeah, the pressure of wondering if Raghuveer Nayak had secretly gathered evidence that Jackson asked him to bribe convicted IL governor Blagojevich for Obama's Senate seat finally got to poor Jesse. Oh, that and having lobbyists buy plane tickets for your woman-on-the-side - I'm sure pretending that doesn't violate ethics rules really puts a strain on a body. Of course, it could also be the tummy tuck he had done a few years ago - the last time he took an extended "medical" leave - is starting to give...

Of course, there's a question here that's not being asked. What, exactly, is Jackson exhausted from? Dodging questions? Mistresses? US Representatives don't exactly have a grueling job as it is, and their schedule shows a week off in May, a week and a half off in June, and the entire month of August off. Boy, that'd wear me out, too. I guess we'll have to just guess, because the media's sure not going to ask these questions.

Maybe if it were an (R) after his name we might see some investigation...

That is all.

Only the rich can afford to be afflicted with the curious illness of exhaustion.
