I Should Play the Lottery Today...

...because I am having a good day...

Backed out of the driveway this morning, running a little bit late for my service appointment for the Dodge Earthf**ker, and I remembered that it was trash day (it's normally Friday, but Monday was a holiday so it's pushed back a day. Union job, go figure...). When I returned from doing my errands nearly three hours later, the trash truck was pulling down our street as I pulled into the driveway. Grabbed the barrels, got them down in plenty of time, life is good. Then, later, as I'm bringing my mail to the mailbox, I see the mail carrier stop two houses up. Walk out, greet her, take my incoming mail and hand off the letters to be mailed. Bills get paid, don't have to worry about them sitting until Monday, life is good yet again.

In the mail is a large box for me - I ordered, on Wally's recommendation, a 10" steel plate from AR500 Targets - after seeing my posts on shooting steel, he recommended AR500 Targets as a good source of inexpensive targets. I opened the box, and they included a tumbler in addition to the plate. Both the plate and tumbler were exactly as pictured on their website - A quick spritz of yellow or orange Krylon and that's a fun day at the range for anyone. My club happens to have overhead target hangers at all three stations on the pistol range (25', 50', and 75'), and while I'd be leery of shooting anything other than .22LR at 25', the 50' and 75' stations are perfect.

And to top off the day, I only needed new brake pads on the Earthf**ker, so I wound up spending less than half what I expected - SCORE!

That is all.

Ok I officially hate you not because of your good luck but because I swear every time I take my truck in for brakes I need new rotors even after taking it to a second shop for another opinion.

Your a lucky man

I went with new rotors when I did my brakes only because the new rotors were almost the same price as resurfacing the old ones. Did you get front, back or all 4 corners done? What sort of mileage are you up to?

Jay's rotors look brand new because brakes are for sissies.

I only ended up replacing one caliper on my front brakes today, myself. We managed to avoid most of the rain in Philly, so I got to enjoy working on my hands and knees in a gravel lot.

That tumbler looks cool... may have to look into it.
