Federal agents become carjack victims

A Haughton man is behind bars after authorities say he tried to carjack a vehicle full of federal agents.

"He's not one of your smarter ones," said Chris Turner with the U.S. Marshals Office

Turner says three members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were sitting a red light in downtown Shreveport when Joshua Carter, 25, ran up and started banging on the window and trying to open the door.

Okay, I can kind of see the thinking leading up to this. He probably saw a car full of guys in business suits in a place where guys with business suits stand out. He thought he had an easy score, pick up a car and maybe a few wallets, just run up and scare the businessmen and away you go.

I do have to admit, I read this:

and I really hope that he "realized he had just tried to carjack three officers" after looking at the business end of three .40 S&W automatics... The mental image is absolutely priceless. The wanna-be thug, running up to the car full of what he thinks are Mr. Businessmen, suddenly finding himself staring at three guns pointed at him.

Why does the phrase "Feet, don't fail me now!" come to mind?
